Young people flocking to an Orthodoxy
I read this interesting interview with Colleen Carroll who has just published a book called “The New Faithful”. It looks at the phenomena of young adults who are embracing a classical orthodox style of faith. Here an excerpt of the interview:

SOF: When did you first become aware of the trend towards historic faith?

Colleen: In the mid-1990s, when I was an undergraduate student at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I saw a gap between the image of Generation X in the media — as cynics, slackers and moral relativists — and the young adults all around me. Many of them were not orthodox Christians, but they had a great desire to serve others, live in community and know God. Later, while working as a newspaper journalist, I saw even more young adults whose search for meaning and truth had crystallized into serious faith commitments and an embrace of traditional morality.
