The Ramblings Of John Campea

Life Beyond The Movies

A Post-Modern deffinition of Christianity

A Post-Modern deffinition of Christianity
I read this article earlier today on Radical Christ by Iggie Kruger. Several things in it jumped out at me, but the following paragraph had the most impact. I thought I’d share it with you.

Christianity is fixated on loving God,and loving our neighbors. Christianity is being committed to being the good news of Jesus rather than talking about it. Christianity is being committed to living a new life that attracts other people. Christianity is understanding that often people want to belong – before they believe. Christianity is a journey, and we aren’t their yet. Christianity is committed to helping others get their before we do. Christianity is all about death on a cross in everyday life. Christianity is all about loving our friends greater than ourselves. Christianity is about worshipping god through whatever means neccesary. Christianity is about devotion.

I hope my life begins to reflect this more. I hope more of us begin to embrace this kind of thinking.
