The Ramblings Of John Campea

Life Beyond The Movies

Uncovered: The Whole Truth About The Iraq War

Iraq-DocUncovered: The Whole Truth About the Iraq War is a stunning 1 hour documentary that’s now about 2 years old or so. Dave sent gave me the heads up on this film, and I’m glad he did.

The thrust of the film is that the Bush administration was guilty of one of 2 things. Either:

A) Lied about WMD’s and Iraq’s connection to Al Qeada… or

B) Was incompetent beyond all rational belief.

The people appearing in the film are amazing. Tons of CIA analysts, Assistant Secretary of Defense, CIA Chief, Secretary of the Army, UN Weapons Inspectors, Chief Scientist of the Arms Committee… on and on and on. Your jaw will drop with the level of credibility in this thing.

I’ll let you watch it (it’s very well done) and decide for yourself. It is CLEARLY one sided, no argument there… but the case they make is brutally strong. Even if you disagree with it, it’s good food for thought.

You can see the movie here for FREE.

  1. considering what has happened in american government and that this is two years old, why is this even relevant anymore?

  2. maybe if you had written about this 2 years ago, then it would’ve been something people cared about. but for god’s sake, write about some more current movies.

  3. Thanks John for the heads up, because of this clusterf*@k, we’re gonna be stuck with the consequences of this for at least another generation.
The tragedy here is that it is & will be relevant for years to come.
    Thanks again.

  4. HAHA… Apparently Mero the Troll is too stupid to understand the difference between a personal blog and The Movie Blog.

Poor guy, is there some sort of charity set up somewhere where we can donate to find a cure for whatever it is he has?

  5. Oh, and Mero the Troll… “why is this even relevant anymore”

Well.. because 3000 American soilders have died over there and continue to die each day…. over 600,000 iraqis have died and continue to die everyday.

I know to trolls such as yourself, human life doesn’t mean anything… but to some ofthe rest of us… it does.

  6. I think it’s totally relevant. I just wish this was a little bit more of a fair dialogue driven, informative film than a one-sided attack ad from moveon.org (as you stated in your post).

Still, very interesting and deserves more looking into. Of course it won’t be though, unfortunately.

  7. sorry relevant was a bad choice of word.

it was just puzzling for me to see the writer of the movie blog not know about this movie until two years after it was released. This is why i think your unfit to run a movie blog since you obviously aren’t up to snuff on the entertainment world.

  8. Mero, where exactly in the post did John mention this to be a new film? Keep on trolling ‘oh puzzled one’. You’re much too valuable an asset to ditto-heads around the world to be puzzling over this site.

  9. I certainly agree with the comment above, however, about how it’d be nice if this movie wasn’t coming from a website with a “biased” ideology behind it. The very suggestion in the title, that this is the “WHOLE” truth is, honestly, just insulting to my intelligence and arrogant beyond words.

On the other hand, it is informative, to be sure, and the Iraq War is something that needs even more scrutiny than it’s been getting. The very fact that our press cares so much about the 3,000 U.S. dead but hardly ever mentions the 600,000 Iraqi dead is unbelievably awful–marginally (…) worse than someone else claiming to know the “WHOLE” truth of the situation.

  10. HAHA, “Mero the Troll”. Good one John

I remember when Mero used to troll over at The Movie Blog. Aren’t trolls entertaining? It’s like watching an infant making strange faces when they shit themselves. Yeah, that’s Mero.

Yeah Mero, John is “unfit”. I guess that’s why he gets a million readers every month, wins awards, gets flown around the country by the studios, has a radio show, is on TV, magazines and newspapers. Yup Mero, you sure nailed it.

Please post a response to this Mero. Your shit face making is a delight to us all!

Oh, and I never heard of this movie either. Imagine that, not hearing of every single 1 hour, non-feature documentary made every year. Gosh, only about 2500 – 4000 of them done every year.

  11. hey Jarred,

when your entire livelihood is from a site called “the movie blog” and you claim it’s “the home of correct movie opinions”, there are expectations that come from making huge claims like that and you do put yourself in a position of authority. When the truth is that ‘the movie blog’ is total amateur hour. So when you don’t know about a movie that was widely available in video stores, it does put a glaring light on how knowledgable you are.

I’m not sure if you’re being sarcastic or not when you said “a million readers every month, wins awards, gets flown around the country by the studios, has a radio show, is on TV, magazines and newspapers.”

million readers? you don’t know that for a fact.
wins awards? he won that stupid bloggie thing
gets flown around the country? Almost all those movie website people get this, but to his credit it was impressive that studios pay attention to him.
his own radio show? the audio edition is put out by himself. Anyone can put out their own ‘audio edition’.
is on TV, magazines, and newspapers? Where did you get this from?

    Comment by mero | November 13, 2006 | Reply

  12. Well Mero the Troll,

Jarred is correct, I do an actual radio show, have appeared on TV, magazines, been quoted in USA Today amongst other major newspapers. These aren’t secrets, I’ve talked about all this stuff on the site… but you don’t really pay attention to much do you?

As far as “widely available in video stores”, that’s a lie you just made up. I checked it out. Netflix does indeed carry this title. Rogers Video (Largest movie rental chain in Canada) doesn’t carry it… nor do most blockbusters. Most non featrure length films don’t make it in there. So please do enlighten me, tell me the name of your local store so I can call them and see if they carry it. I guarentee you they don’t

“Jarred” is right, there are over 4000 independent non feature length films produced each year, and it’s getting bigger. And I’ll admit I never hear about 90% of them, because… well… they’re non feature independent that don’t get marketed or publizized. It’s hard enough to keep up with teh 500+ features that get produced each year. Keep stretching.

Anyway Mero, like others have mentioned, your tantrums and trolling have been entertaining… but enough is enough. If you don’t like me or my site… go away. It’s easy. Or is your life so sad and pathetic that trolling is the only meaning in your life?

  13. Mero is an idiot John, just ignore his trolling ass. And I just thought I’d throw this in cause the troll asked about the million readers:

  15. i think mero should be the new john campea, and the old john campea should be the new mero.

then maybe we would FINALLY get some quality movie reviewing done here by someone who is up to snuff on the entertainment world.

  16. As a conservative there’s much I don’t agree with John on… Mero… anger, bitterness and frustration is silly. Please get laid or take some anger management classes. Win people over in the arena of ideas… not by being an angry jerk.

    – John… I think this would make a good slasher movie… Mero… a bitter fan and stalker… starts to kill his favorite bloggers. What do you think?
