The Ramblings Of John Campea

Life Beyond The Movies

Facebook Addiction

Earlier this week I made the jump from Myspace (which just sucks, and we’ve always known it sucks… but we all stuck with it even with it’s horrible user interface, buggy system, constantly getting error messages and spam) to Facebook… and oh my goodness I think I’ve become addicted to it.

The areas in which Facebook is superior are too numerous to mention, but I’ll highlight a couple of them:

1) Easy picture uploading – the process and speed and pure unlimited ammount of picture uploads is much better

2) Picture tagging – one of my FAVORITE features. You see a picture on Facebook with someone you know in it… you can “tag” them (basically say “this guy is Mr. So and SO”, then that picture appears on that guys page… it’s hard to explain but it’s INSANE GOOD!

3) Networking – The sheer number of opportunities to network and find people is the real strength of Facebook. Being updated on the activities of your “friends”, arrgghhh… just so many things.

Look, all i can say is that you REALLY should try it out. It’s 10x better and more reliable than Myspace. Give it a shot… and add me as one of your friends. 🙂

  1. Yes, thanks to Monday’s Facebook discussion I went out and signed up. It’s bad. After sign-up, I spent almost an hour looking around.

You’re absolutely right though, it’s MUCH better than myspace.
