Most Damning Attack On Bush Yet
Saw this this morning from MSNBC. The most articulate, well laid out outrage against Bush. This president needs to go.

I pretty much agree with Olbermann and like him as a person, but you should realize that in his own way he’s just as biased as FoxNews. Clinton pardoned many personal frinds from crimes as well, but guys like Olbermann didn’t care about that.
So take all of Keith’s self-righteous stuff with a grain of salt. I like him more when he talks about baseball, because when he talks about baseball I know he’s not skewing information to mirror his own worldview.

Anyone who thinks that Bush is as bad as Olbermann is saying he is, is out of their mind. Agreeing with this is just peeing all over your self.
Presidents are given the authority to pardon people and Olbermann is basically saying that that authority should never be used. Then why do they have it? Maybe they shouldn’t have it, I’ll accept that but they do. Clinton pardoned an unprecidented number of people at the end of his presidency.
In general, people who think Bush should be impeached or should resigned are ridiculous. There is no good reason for it. I believe that he is trying to help Iraq, trying to catch terrorists, for good reasons. He is making mistakes but at least he tried.

You’re missing the point Matt.
The outrage isn’t that Bush pardoned someone. It’s WHO he pardoned. A guy implicated with revealing the identity of US opperatives… and of covering up the opression of decent for the Iraq war.
This guy was instrumental in assiting Bush with trying to discredit and silence his critics… broke the law to do it…. and THIS is the guy Bush pardoned. THAT’S the issue.

Yes, it is not like Clinton who pardoned a pedophile and actual terrorists, and added Marc Rich as the cherry on top.
Libby did not leak the name of Valerie, who was not covert as she sashayed into the CIA building everyday to work.
Armitage leaked it and Fitz knew Armitage was the leaker.
Bush commuted the sentence, and did not pardon him. Libby paid a $250,000 fine. Sandy Berger can walk out with National Security documents stuffed in his sock, and he gets probation. The Wilsons are lying hacks, and there is a reason Kerry had to drop him from his 2004 campaign. Wilson was shown to be lying.
“decent” has never been prosecuted, period. Nice try, though.

Facts are facts Stormy,
Scooter was found GUILTY of obstruction of Justice in a case regarding this very situation by a jury, and sentenced by a Judge.
This is obviously Bush rewarding Libby and protecting the guys who were protecting him.
You can bring up Clinton or whoever else you want (I’m not Clinton fan either), it doesn’t change the facts.

His sentence was commuted and he paid a $250,000 fine. Libby is still going through the appeals process and the only thing Bush did was commute the jail sentence. Libby was railroaded because Fitz had a prior grudge against him and Judith Miller. Since there was no underlying crime, and the leaker was identified before the investigation started, this should have never gone forward. Wilson lied about the Vice President sending him, his wife sent him, and he lied about his report in the NYTs. The bi-partisan Senate Intelligence committee has his original report stating Iraq was seeking Uranium. I guess when someone working for John Kerry lies, the administration was supposed to sit back and take it? No.
Armitage leaked the name, and Novak has published the back story on it yesterday.
It is funny how the real leaker gets a pass because he works for the State Department.

Oh, and the Pardons and Commutations is an Executive power listed in Article 2, Section 2 of the US Constitution. It is not subject to the Legislative or Judicial branches.
Olberman is full of it, as usual.

Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion(s).
However, the day I believe anything coming outta the mouth of Keith Olbermann is also the day Hell freezes over. I’m sorry, but I can’t see Olbermann as anything other than a left-wing jackass who sees himself as “witty” when in reality he’s reduced to childish name-calling (i.e. “Bill Orally” Yuk! Yuk! Yuk!) Grow up, Keith.
